Our Home
Alderson House is situated within Kingston upon Hull, usually abbreviated to Hull, which is a city and unitary authority in the East Riding of Yorkshire. We strive to ensure that Residents rights to dignity and self-respect are upheld at all times, and that the Home maintains quality as a principle pursuit.
Rooms
Accommodation is provided in single occupancy bedrooms, to meet our resident’s needs. Communal accommodation in the home comprises of airey lounges for watching TV, listening to the radio or simply spending time chatting with friends.
Keeping Active
Being involved in what is going on and taking part in fun activities is a essential part of life. Our approach to residential care focuses on ensuring that a wide range of activities and social events are regularly organised, such as functions and events, film nights, card and board games and many more. Birthdays of residents are always celebrated. We encourage our residents to take part in the many activities available locally.
Meals
Burlington Care strongly support the provision of a healthy, nutritious and balanced diet for all residents. The approach to nutrition taken is based upon choice and quality for residents. We take pride in providing tasty, tempting meals for our residents. Mealtimes are regarded as enjoyable social occasions for most residents, although those who wish to eat their meals in their own rooms are enabled to do so. Each resident will be asked for their individual food preferences as well as their cultural, religious or health needs and these will be taken into account when planning menus.
