The Elms and Oakwood is situated in a town called Louth which is at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds where they meet the Lincolnshire Marsh and is known as the Capital of the Lincolnshire Wolds. We strive to ensure that Residents rights to dignity and self-respect are upheld at all times, and that the Home maintains quality as a principle pursuit. The Elms & Oakwood provide residential and dementia care as well as specialist nursing.
The Elms and Oakwood Care Home has 86 bedrooms in total, which all have a friendly, family atmosphere. The our accommodation is provided in single and double occupancy bedrooms, to meet our resident’s needs. Communal accommodation in the home comprises of airy lounges for watching TV, listening to the radio or simply spending time chatting with friends.
We can offer hospital beds, air mattresses, pressure cushions along with other aids to make your stay more comfortable.
Being involved in what is going on and taking part in fun activities is an essential part of life. Our approach to residential care focuses on ensuring that a wide range of activities and social events are regularly organised, such as wine and cheese parties, mobile cinema, card and board games, slide shows and many more. Birthdays of residents are always celebrated. We encourage our residents to take part in the many activities available locally.
Burlington Care strongly support the provision of a healthy, nutritious and balanced diet for all residents. The approach to nutrition taken is based upon choice and quality for residents. We take pride in providing tasty, tempting meals for our residents. Mealtimes are regarded as enjoyable social occasions for most residents, although those who wish to eat their meals in their own rooms are enabled to do so. Each resident will be asked for their individual food preferences as well as their cultural, religious or health needs and these will be taken into account when planning menus.
