This week the residents at Priestley Care Home, made sausage rolls.

Using ready-made pastry, the residents rolled it out, making it thinner and thinner. Then they cut the pastry into strips.
Kirsty, the Activity Coordinator at our Birstall care home, said; “The residents had fun then, adding the sausage meat and rolling the sausage rolls!”
“We then cut them into smaller sausage rolls and used egg-wash to help them brown.
“When they were ready to bake, I took them to the kitchen to put them in the oven.
“The residents enjoyed eating them; there was no holding back. Everyone wanted a taste!”
