Winter is a lovely time to take up different hobbies.
During lockdown many people have turned to the arts, appreciating the time to be creative.
The residents at Castle Grange in #Scarborough take part in many different activities and hobbies. They are encouraged to do the hobbies they have always done and to take up new ones.
Often a resident who appears to live in their own little world appears to come alive when handed a paintbrush.
It’s wonderful to see how they become animated and interested in the world around them.
These occurrences have a profound impact on care staff, who get an opportunity to see more of the person they care for.
Becky, an Activity Coordinator at the Scarborough care home said; “Our residents are full of surprises.
I love to see how proud they are, of the work they do.”
