Hutton Manor residents have completed the first of many Christmas activities planned for the festive period. The first chosen craft was recycling some toilet tubes and textiles to make decorative Nutcrackers.
The residents used their creativity to design their own Nutcrackers, using different colours, patterns, jewels, and feathers. The activity made for a messy afternoon.
The residents really got involved in this, and it was fascinating to see and hear the different imaginative thoughts.
Holly, the Activity Coordinator at Hutton Manor, said; ‘It was lovely to listen to the residents and hear their stories about Christmas.’
Mary, a new resident at our Pudsey home, got stuck in and enjoyed herself. They all chatted about their childhood and what Christmas was like. It’s a pleasure to watch new residents settle in, and the crowd at Hutton Manor have been very welcoming.
