Old Bank Road
Within easy reach of the green spaces of Earlsheaton Park and good road access to the area, York House is a modern two-storey home providing high quality residential care for those needing additional support and for those living with dementia.
The home has 34 ensuite rooms, all decorated to high standards, with modern furnishings and fittings. Residents are encouraged to personalise their own space, decorating with pictures and photographs. The brightly decorated communal areas are airy and spacious and provide a focal point for our residents to spend time together, often taking part in activities and enjoying entertainment, or simply relaxing with friends and family.
Our Activity Coordinator prepares a programme of events that changes daily, appealing to the interests and hobbies of our residents. We aim to provide as varied and engaging a lifestyle for our residents as possible, which includes regular exchanges with local community groups, such as visits from the local school, and engaging entertainment sessions. The home benefits from landscaped gardens, which are pleasant and secure for short walks and fresh air.
Burlington Care strongly support the provision of a healthy, nutritious and balanced diet for all residents. The approach to nutrition taken is based upon choice and quality for residents. We take pride in providing tasty, tempting meals for our residents. Mealtimes are regarded as enjoyable social occasions for most residents, although those who wish to eat their meals in their own rooms are enabled to do so. Each resident will be asked for their individual food preferences as well as their cultural, religious or health needs and these will be taken into account when planning menus. Special dietary requirements can be met, as all our meals and baking are ‘home’ cooked on the premises. Friends and relatives are welcome to make use of the conveniently located kitchenettes, one on each floor, which are available 24 hours a day.
