York House Care Team

Meet the Team …

The care team at York House have many years of experience, working in social care.

Rachel Beech is the proud Home Manager of York House and has worked at the Dewsbury care home for more than 2.5 years.

Her previous managerial roles in social care have included positions at two other care homes in the Kirklees. This experience has enabled her to have good working relationships with healthcare professionals in the area. An important fact when dealing with new residents and discharge teams from hospitals- These relationships ensure a frictionless move from home or hospital into York House.

Rachel is a natural people-person, and this is apparent when you first walk into York House. This friendliness is reflected in the care team, all of whom are friendly and helpful, easing the transition into residential care, for all new residents.

Before working in social care, Rachel worked in retail and enjoyed her customer-facing role. It set her up to work in healthcare.

Outside work, Rachel is married with two daughters. She is very proud of her family, and her weekends are dedicated to family time.

Kirsty Tidswell has been the Administrator at York House for over two years and has worked with Rachel beech the Home Manager for many years. Following Rachel to York House.

Kirsty is enthusiastic, friendly and always ready to help; with a previous background as the PA to a solicitor, Kirsty is efficient, well organised and methodical; all vital attributes in a busy care home.

Kirsty is well known for getting involved in the many activities and events held at the Dewsbury care home, as are the other staff members.

Kirsty has been with her partner for twenty-three years and has one son…and two dogs.
